For years, Rasmus Lyberth has moved Danes in particular, even though he sings in Greenlandic. Last year, he made the Royal Albert Hall feel the rush that can only be conveyed by music.

Potential
Nive Nielsen & The Deer Children’s album »Nive Sings«, from 2009 is brought to Scandinavia through Playground Music and to the rest of the world through Glitterhouse Records in Germany.

- Nive has the potential to reach far outside the borders of her home country with her Americana-inspired songs that are well written, dreamy and wistful, danish music magazine »Gaffa« wrotes.

Alaska
We have to go to Los Angeles to find Karina Møller. She is working on the vocals for a film, but otherwise she lives in Anchorage, Alaska, where she is working on a new CD, together with her band Pamyua.

They have a unique sound that reaches far beyond the borders of the Arctic, with a combination of traditional Inuit songs and modern funk and soul.

Universal
Greenland has many more voices and bands that have played at festivals and on scenes all over the world, so it is hard to do them all justice in a single article. One thing is sure, the world has discovered that Greenlandic music in particular speaks a universal language we can all understand and feel.
