Saturday evening was documentary night in Berlin. But first there was the opportunity to meet some of the film festival's many directors, and the audience eagerly asked questions. Among other things, the cultural and financial resources in terms of making films in Greenland.

Greenland year zero
The film »Greenland Year Zero« from 2010, is a short documentary about a country that is currently and rapidly changing history, independence and climate. Four young students in Aasiaat talks about there dreams and possibilities if for example Greenland one day finds oil.
Why we fight
»Sooqakersuuttugut« (Why we fight) is the artist and filmmaker Inuk Silis Høegh's advertising film, for »joining the Greenlandic Army«. An army does not exist, as Greenland has never been at war with anyone.

Conflict and solutions
Also shown was »Nuuk Nuan« (Beautiful Nuuk) on teenagers lives and thoughts about their surroundings, »Silent Snow« about the environment, and »Say it and live« dealing with taboo subjects as incest and suicide.
One can probably say that the theme of Saturday were various »Conflicts in Greenland«, but it was also documentaries showing, the great work being done to rectify the various problems.
A long - but nice evening.
